Big Lloyd 3...

Update on my Lloyd Blankfein painting.



Still a work in progress but vastly improved since the last time anybody looked at it.

I couldn't figure out what the hell was wrong with the thing, but it all seemed so generally off-target that I took some black sewing thread and recreated the grid. Upon looking at the resource photo again I was then able to rejigger some of the problem areas and came up with what you can see here.

Me? I think the coolest part is the thread itself. Were I to sell this as an un-annotatated portrait, I think I'd complete the grid (there was no point in gridding out the white part at the top) and then varnish the thread overtop of the painting.

Now that, my friends, would be cool.
