A couple of days ago somebody wrote "It's the end of the world as we know it--R.E.M." on my painting of Tim Geithner. To paraphrase, "It's the end of The Times as we know it." Never in the course of human events has an organization had its head more up its ass regarding new technology. Wasn't the whole idea of USA Today to present the day's news in a manner suitable for idiots? At what point did The Times decide that this too was its mandate?

Wow. I feel your pain.
It's a black day here at Local 69.
I'll bet it is. Where does the Greek Chorus go on its days off?
To Greece, obviously.
Wow. I've always wanted to see the Aegean.
It's beautiful in the summer. All those colorful boats bobbing on that blue water.
"There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats."
Just don't go twittering about it.
