El Toro Rosso

There is some suggestion, year in and year out, that the Red Bull F1 cars are the most beautiful of the bunch ...

This is Mark Webber's new car and it is certainly something to behold.  Particularly the art design of the front wing.  A bit more purple than last year, but still something to behold.

Good news for those of you who find Formula 1 boring (as if that could even be possible):  There's just one more car of significance to be unveiled.  That being, of course, the Silver Arrows of Mercedes.

Wikipedia, the source of all things true and false, notes:

Silver Arrows was the name given by the press to Germany's dominant Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union Grand Prix motor racing cars between 1934 and 1939, and also later applied to the Mercedes Benz Formula One and sports cars in 1954 and 1955.

I just think it's cool to have names for the cars.  Silver Arrows.  Cool.

Informational aside:  Sebastian Vettel names his individual cars after high-profile actresses, models, singers he's attracted to (one recent vintage was called Kinky Kylie, after Ms. Minogue), but that's a completely different thing.

Here's another picture of the Red Bull ...

The man second from the left, the bald one, is thought to be the finest aerodynamicist in motor racing today.  Or Ever.

Responsible for the design of the Red Bulls that have won three consecutive championships, very much at the emotional expense of Ferrari fans everywhere.

Me?  I hate the son of a bitch.
