On July 4th, 2006, I embarked on a quest to become the pre-eminent American portrait painter of the 21st century. This blog chronicles that journey. With apologies to Joan Didion, I call it THE YEAR OF MAGICAL PAINTING.

The Annotated BP Guy
Just a quick glimpse at the annotated BP guy.
Lots of work to be done, but I kind of like the haunted look in his eyes and the way my greens and browns turned out (the idea being to render the CEO of BP, Tony Hayward, as if dripping in oil).
2 Comments:
Mr Hayward spent the day with his son at the JP Morgan Asset Management Round The Island Race, where boats race around the Isle of Wight, off the coast of southern England.
Looks like Tony's next line of work is sorted out. "So Tone do you think BP is a buy or what?"
I wouldn't be surprised if one of your potential annotatees tries to demolish the canvas in a raging fury. This guy is a lightning rod for bad PR.
