What part of "Don't Write on Face" is difficult?

I will say this about Troy:

It is a loving place.  We care for each other.  If you look on the sidewalk at the lower right of the statue, you can see a felt-tip marker.  Left, I'm assuming, by some considerate soul who wanted everybody to have a chance to write something and was afraid they, in the heat of the moment -- in situ if you will -- wouldn't have an appropriate implement.

I wasn't sure what to do, so I took it home ...
