If you watch Game of Thrones, and you squint, you can recognize Emilia Clark as the country western singer in this clip. You can recognize Jude Law too, but anybody can do that. Emilia Clark has hurtled from obscurity into the limelight by playing the platinum-haired Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen on GoT.
On the face of it, none of this is unusual. A pretty actress playing a singer in a movie. But seeing her up there on the stage in her red hair and her frilly dress, smiling as sweet as home-baked apple pie ... well, it's about 180 degrees from the steely character she plays on Game of Thrones.
Me? I'm a big fan. I hope the movie is a big success.
