What about the soup?

First I'd like to thank many of you for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.  It should be noted -- and I say this not without a bit of bitterness -- that nobody says shit when I post a beautiful picture of a pot of tomato bean soup.  Still ... thank you.

Second, do you know that old bit about how a joint repaired with epoxy is stronger than it was before it broke?  Something like that?  Anyway, I'm gonna epoxy old Uncle Sam's head right back on, and soon I'll be carrying him around like nothing happened.  The good news is that the break is a sharp, clean one and the head fits right back on.  Kind of like repairing pottery.

It'll all be good.
