Merkel
These days I'm focusing a lot on Angela Merkel. I like this sketch quite a bit ...
The fun of it is that, for a woman so widely loathed, she looks like a sympathetic grammy rather than the hobnail-booted instrument of Greece's dissatisfaction.
Which may be unfair.
My recent move has left me studio-less but I'm thinking of banging a Merkel painting out in the basement. I've painted in basements before. The temperature in Athens (Greece) is currently 64. Thank God that's Fahrenheit. For comparison sake, the temperature in Athens (New York) is 74.
